Dubai is probably the most famous among the seven ‘Emirates’ on the Persian Gulf. One glance at the map of Dubai is sufficient to reveal its strategic location in the Middle East on the Gulf of Persia, which earlier had the dubious distinction of being the ‘Pirate Coast’ through the 16th century. This region is now known as the United Arab Emirates or simply U.A.E. for short, which is flanked by Saudi Arabia and Oman and comprises of seven emirates namely. The immense wealth that this country has garnered thanks to its rich oil fields has helped convert this desert land into a flourishing economy with ample scope for prosperous investments in recent times.
